One of my biggest challenges at Uber was in creating new and effective methods to engage our driver base in a way that is both meaningful and scalable. I think the best way to tackle a big challenge is with unconventional and out-of-the-box thinking. In my quest to improve driver engagement, I have tested and helped develop some pretty cool products!
Online Scheduling for In-Person Support
Leveraged analytical and strategic problem-solving skills to discover operational inefficiencies at our in-person support locations. Unpredictable traffic flows led to poor driver experiences and retention. In order to help solve these issues, I led a cross-functional team to research and test a third-party online scheduling feature for our in-person support locations which resulted in a 15% increase in driver retention. After presenting these results and next-step recommendations to our Central Ops and Product teams, we rolled the process out to all North and South American markets and began creation of an internal scheduling tool which was launched in July 2017.
Driver In-app Audio Messages
Discovered hacky beta audio messaging product from the former China team and learned basics of JSON to implement and test product in US markets. Experimented using audio broadcasting messages to increase number of drivers with valid required document which led to a 9% increase in driver retention. Due to the positive results, I created resources and trained Ops teams globally on implementation and use of the audio messaging tools.

Was one of three leads selected to take on the challenge of migrating all Midwest Uber driver websites from WordPress to Squarespace and finally to the uber.com domain.
Used technical expertise in Photoshop and HTML to create visual assets and written content for 10 markets and migrated a total of 100+ pages to meet aggressive deadlines
Optimized SEO in order to increase traffic and driver sign-up conversions via our websites
Used Google Analytics to determine impact of specific content and track user behavior
